The Department of Higher Education dedicated towards the promotion, modernization, development, strengthening, policy expansion and administration of higher education in the state. The Department of Higher Education has an important role in the expansion of higher education in the state, which is continuously contributing significantly in the quantitative and qualitative expansion of higher education. Presently, 05 State Universities,119 Government Degree Colleges and 21 Aided Colleges located in the state.
